This follow up to the popular 1998 action comedy continues the story of its hit duo, played by the immensely entertaining Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. The fight scenes are once again some of the key set pieces of the film, with their choreography being once again well executed and inspired by Asian martial arts.

I'd say the narrative is a bit weaker than the first film, but it is still functional and exceptionally fun. Additionally, the camera quality is far improved, with technology advancing between the two film's productions.

The film is once again headlined by the incredible and much loved Jackie Chan, who once again brings his forever recognisable acrobatics and improvised martial arts fighting. His comedic timing is always something to enjoy, and he never fails to put on a show.

Chris Tucker also stars again, and continues to use his hilarious overacting and exuberance to bring the best out of Chan and himself.

John Lone provides a decent enough antagonist, though I wouldn't say he threatens as much as the first film's villain. That said, I enjoyed his acting performance throughout this.

Roselyn Sánchez gives a mysterious and enjoyable supporting performance, though she doesn't really keep up with the film's stars.

Finally, I'll give a mention to Zhang Ziyi, who has some good moments in what is a relatively minor role.

Overall, director Brett Ratner once again creates an extremely funny and enjoyable action comedy which, despite not being quite as good as the original, still entertains hugely.
