Honey Don't (2025) Dir: Ethan Coen
Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRr1Rw_jQMH/?igsh=MWVuYWV0ODJ6azgxNQ== Two things tempted me into going to see this Ethan Coen directed neo-noir comedy detective film; the first being the cast, most of whom I am a fan of, and the second being the trailer for it, which seemed highly amusing. However, my excitement was quelled by some very underwhelming reviews, which I skimmed shortly before going to the cinema. I still wanted to watch it, but I decided to drastica

WWE Survivor Series: War Games 2025
The 'Survivor Series' event has been a beloved staple of WWE premium live events for decades now, but the recent addition of the 'War Games' stipulation has revitalised it, making it an even more exciting and memorable event. I do miss the traditional tag matches, but I can't complain about having 'War Games' on the main roster. This year's matches were full of some of the best talent on the roster, and gave the show the potential to be one of the highlights of the year.

Project Hail Mary (2021) By Andy Weir
"Knock-knock-knock... No, that's not creepy at all. Being in a spaceship twelve light-years from home and having someone knock on the door is totally normal." If there's one genre I've wanted to explore more deeply, it is that of science fiction. I love it as a genre in film and other media forms, and have enjoyed the books that I have read under its label to this point. This book was recommended to me by a number of well-read family members, which was enough reason for me to

Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRpQhofjGrd/?igsh=ZzA1YXAzYmh1eDBu If there's one type of media I always have time for, it's cinematic adaptations of Bram Stoker's legendary 'Dracula' text. I adore the book, and have always been tempted by the many films that it has spawned. On this occasion, I chose to watch this 1974 adaptation, directed by Dan Curtis. It is not one of the more acclaimed versions of the epic vampire tale, but it still intrigued me, with its uni

Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRmdhh-jS5q/?igsh=MW4ycGlrcTl0OGs1cA== If I was thinking about new films that were on my radar at the end of 2025, Clint Bentley's Netflix original drama, based on the Denis Johnson novella, would not have been on that list. Quite frankly, it just didn't seem like the kind of film I would leap to watch. However, the overwhelmingly positive critical reception it received convinced me to give it a go, and I'm very glad it did. There's

The Vampire Lovers (1970) Dir: Roy Ward Baker
Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRj6u-kjMT-/?igsh=c3RwenZpaGxkOW9v With so many classic horrors in their filmography, it should come as no surprise to know that there were a few I had been especially interested in, and this 1970 vampire horror, from director Roy Ward Baker, was one of those few, mainly because of my love for vampire horror, but also because of this one's popularity with fans of Hammer horrors. The studio had done very well with their 1958 adaptati

NXT Gold Rush 2025: Week Two
After a successful and entertaining first week of action, NXT's 'Gold Rush' event rolled on with week two in New York, a show full of more fun matches, if perhaps some with slightly lower stakes than those of the first show. Regardless, I was once again very excited to see what the talent of NXT, Evolve, and TNA would showcase in their various matches, many of which featuring gold from the three respective brands. The second week of 'Gold Rush' began with the Evolve Champio

NXT Gold Rush 2025: Week 1
NXT took over New York for two weeks of major matches under the 'Gold Rush' monicre. This first special episode of NXT had plenty of fun matches to look forward to, with a mixed tag team match and a women's title match as the two on-paper standouts to me. I wasn't necessarily expecting many title changes or anything, but NXT almost always delivers these days, so I knew I'd be entertained. Those first evening's action began with the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships on the lin

Decision To Leave (2022) Dir: Park Chan-Wook
Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/DRe9Kz1DStY/?igsh=MWx4ZW1ndWZodjR0cg== The ever-growing, and ever-more-popular world of South Korean cinema is one that I have barely scraped the surface of, but one name that has stuck with me as one to explore the filmography of, is Park Chan-wook. Known for making some of the best Korean films ever made, and, simply put, some of the highest rated films ever regardless of country or origin, his works were must-watches for me, and

The Hound Of The Baskervilles (1902) By Arthur Conan Doyle
"There is nothing more stimulating than a case where everything goes against you." After a couple of months off, I returned to the world of Victorian era investigative mysteries, with this, the fifth book in a series of 'Sherlock Holmes' stories, of course, from the acclaimed British author; Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. This is arguably his most famous tale - most everyone has heard of the infamous hound - but it was still a case I was not particularly familiar with. This only ma

Ironically, considering the name of the film, this was one of the Hammer horrors that wasn't particularly known to me, either by name or reputation. Indeed, it's definitely not one of the higher rated films on Letterboxd, or anywhere online, for that matter, though those ra

Some of them have been great, some have been, well, 'Mission: Impossible 2' , but most of them have been extremely fun in their own way. It was now time for me to watch the final film in the franchise, once more directed

I hadn't realised quite how long it had been since I'd last watched this legacy sequel, but, with 'Tron: Ares'
