Film Archive

This is a collection of my various forays into filmmaking. I have written and directed a number of short films so far, mostly for University work. Whilst I do prefer writing over production, I still really enjoy being behind the camera and creating various projects.

Films

'Agony' (2019) was the first short film I made. I directed and co-wrote it, as well as doing some of the lighting and camerawork. Initially I did not like how this came out, but the more time has gone, the more I have grown proud of this,

The film follows an addict and his fiance as she tries to convince him to turn his dire life around and get clean after years of abuse.

This video is a selection of bloopers and funny moments from the production of my first short film; 'Agony' (2019). I do not have much else to say beyond hoping that you enjoy!

'Deteriorate' (2022) is an experimental short film that delves into the weird and disturbing. I directed and wrote the piece, as well as doing some of the camerawork.

The film is deliberately uncomfortable and strange, something I believe comes through well. It follows the protagonist's mind-bending descent into a series of sinister events.

'The Art Of Creating' (2022) is a short documentary film following aspiring artist and children's book illustrator Romany Lipscombe. In this, she explains and shows her artistic process, while I observe her and evaluate how it has changed my own creative process.

This film was really relaxining and enjoyable to make and feels very wholesome. Once again, I directed this film. I also was the sole editor for the very first time, which was surprisingly enjoyable.

This is a music video I produced for a university module, using the popular and immense song 'Duality' by Iowa based heavy metal band Slipknot. I had a lot of fun making this, and had to get my hands and clothes very dirty to create it.

It was filmed in the basement of my student house, and the shots were taken using a handheld phone. I once more directed and edited the video, although this project was far more time consuming and challenging than the documentary film.
