Rick And Morty: Season 2 (2015) Cre: Justin Roiland & Dan Harmon

Season 2 of this instant hit adult animated series continues the absurdity, taking the adventures into the ever more bizarre and hilarious.

The cast is comprised of the likes of Justin Rolland, Maurice LaMarche, Spencer Grammer, the amazingly hilarious Chris Parnell and Sarah Chalke. Each of whom provide typically entertaining and amusing performances.

The storylines are better than the first season, for the most part, particularly episode 4; 'Total Rickall', which is among my personal favourites of the show as a whole.

The meta jokes and fourth wall breaks all land pretty solidly, and simply add to the quintessential essence of the show that many fans have come to expect.

The series also leaves the audience with an excellent cliffhanger, which succeeds in forming plenty of anticipation for the following season. Said cliffhanger episode also features a great use of the Nine Inch Nails song 'Hurt', which makes for a surprisingly emotional moment.

Overall, as illuded to earlier, this second season was definitely a step up from the first, and continued to grow the immense popularity of the show, which is still going now, and with good reason.
