What We Do In The Shadows: Season 2 (2020) Cre: Jermaine Clement

Season 2 followed in much the same path as season 1, with more absurd happenings and hilarious dialogue served up in plenty for its audience. With the key characters now fully established, this second season has a lot more focus on developing specific narratives.

That familiar Waititi comedy is once again more than prevalent, with copious levels of humour packed into every episode. I will say that, in my view, the first season was a little funnier, but that's just how I felt, and that is certainly not to say that this season is not funny, far from it, as I have suggested above.

The familiar cast of Natasia Demetriou, Matt Berry Kayvan Novak, Harvey Guillen, Mark Proksch and Beanie Feldstein all return to deliver entertaining and immensely funny performances.

My favourite performances came from Demetriou and Berry in particular - they work so well with one another, but are incredibly funny in their own right.

There are also some familiar cameos from the likes of comedian Nick Kroll and show creators Jermaine Clement and Taika Waititi, who certainly help to add that much more comedy to the mix, although each of them only has a small role throughout the season.

Overall, this was a strong second season to a wonderfully enjoyable show. It builds on its own foundations well and sets up the third season for success too. I for one think this series is excellent.
