I must admit, first and foremost, that I am not usually one to enjoy slapstick, borderline ridiculous comedies. However, I absolutely love this film. Directed by Akiva Schaffer, this comedy is full of bizarre and hilarious moments.

The story is silly and eccentric, and is built around a number of immensely entertaining set pieces that have the audience in stitches. You are definitely not supposed to take this film seriously, and it is all the more enjoyable because of that fact.

Andy Samberg is known for his flamboyant comedy, and his performance here reflects that. He is absurd and extremely comical, and his work with each of his co-stars is testament to his comedic talent.

Samberg's Lonely Island compatriot Jorma Taccone manages to play off the film's lead well, providing a wonderfully awkward performance that plays off the film's other characters suitably.

Isla Fisher's performance may be a little weaker than her co-stars, but she still provides plenty of humour throughout.

The always talented and funny Bill Hader steals the show at times with his often absurd levels of comedy and natural flair for making audiences laugh.

Ian McShane is terrifically amusing in his supporting role. He plays off Samberg brilliantly, and has a some of the best scenes of the film.

Danny McBride is another greatly humorous member of the supporting cast, and makes use of his character's unique persona in the film to standout nicely.

I also wanna give credit to the likes of Will Arnett, Sissy Spacek, Chris Parnell and Chester Tam, who all provide a myriad of entertaining moments in their supporting roles.

Overall, this is brilliantly fun comedy that doesn't take itself seriously in the slightest and makes sure to make you laugh at virtually every turn.
