WWE Elimination Chamber 2025

After the Royal Rumble, there is one more major stop before WrestleMania, and its this brutal and popular Premium Live Event. It's routinely one of my favourite shows of the year, and the matchcard seemed to indicate that fans would be treated to yet another terrific spectacle. I was extremely excited for the chamber matches in particular. The Toronto crowd were sure to be treated.

To open the night, we were treated to the first of the chamber matches, this one being the women's match, for the right to face the Women's World Champion at WrestleMania 41. The match started I chaotic but epic fashion, with a shocking moment that loved. The crowd were a little shell-shocked by the moment, so they were pretty quiet for a lot of the match, unfortunately. They woke up after a while, thankfully, which is just as well, because the women were putting in the work. I really enjoyed the match - it had great pacing, great spots, and some very solid eliminations. The winner was fairly predictable - it was one of two women, realistically - but I enjoyed how they got there. This was a very entertaining start to the show.

The second match of the evening saw Hall Of Famer and Toronto-native Trish Stratus team with WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton to face Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. This was the least interesting match to me on paper, but I knew the competitors involved had the potential to deliver a corker. I thought the actual match was okay, it wasn't a show stealer or anything, but it had some pretty fun moments, including its finish. Only one team was ever gonna win, but that didn't really matter too much. I still enjoyed it, for the most part.

This was followed by the highly anticipated unsanctioned match between forever rivals Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. This was always going to be a crazy match, and I really hoped it lived up to the hype. My word was this a crazy match. There was a bit of everything - weapons, chaos, fighting in the crowd, referee bumps, several disgusting looking spots. This was just epic levels of chaos and brutality. I was genuinely surprised by how far these two men were allowed to go. The winner was expected, but welcome, and the post-match segment rocked. I cannot wait for the WrestleMania match it'll spawn.

I was surprised to see the men's Elimination Chamber match happen before the final segment of the night, but I was still very hyped up regardless. The match would determine who would face the WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. This match was stacked with talent, including John Cena on his retirement tour...and Logan Paul. I digress, I could hardly have been more excited for this one. It started off hot and kept on going like that. It was a really fun chamber match, especially once it got down to the final three men. That final three was tremendous, and very cool to watch. The ending was a little silly, but it worked, and gave us the winner I think the majority of fans wanted and expected.

The main event lead straight into the final segment of the night, featuring The Rock, Cody Rhodes, the chamber winner, and, for some reason, Travis Scott. The segment started off how I think everyone expected, before descending into something so shocking and unexpected that nobody in the audience knew what to do, including myself. It was surreal. I don't think anybody thought that was what was going to happen, but it was a great way to end the event, and it set up WrestleMania 41 beautifully.

Overall, this was a very memorable premium live event, with a lot of good action, a lot of crazy spots, and one unforgettable ending. There's no way to avoid it - that was iconic. Time will tell whether it was a good move or not, but I can't deny that I'm gonna be watching the run-up to WrestleMania. How could you not, after that? I hope this all proves worth it in the end. Either way, this was a really solid show, which was well worth staying up late for.
