Whisper Of The Heart (1995) Dir: Yoshifumi Kondō

Instagram post:

I have always been a huge fan of Japanese animated cinema, especially the more light hearted pieces. This film is just that.

Another wonderful addition to the Studio Ghibli collection, this film is beautifully lighthearted and has a beautifully wholesome core.

The animation, as anyone who has ever seen a Studio Ghibki film can atest, is typically delightful. Director Yoshifumi Kondo constructs an engaging and sweet story with very likeable characters and some heartwarming themes.

It should come as no surprise that this is yet another immensely enjoyable and easy to watch creation from Ghibli.

And one of the best things about this film is how hospitable this story is for family viewing. In my view, you will be very hard put to find a more uplifting and charming story.
