WandaVision (2021) Dir: Matt Shakman

Letterboxd post:

This was such a quirky, unique and fun Marvel series that really felt fresh and different compared to the same-old "Marvel formula" many audiences have come to expect...until the last episode.

I won't spoil it but it was a real shame that they essentially dived head first back into the same old formula for the end. For such a strong series, the end really let's it down.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are both hugely enjoyable throughout this series, I feel Olsen especially gets the opportunity to grow as her character, something I personally felt like "The Scarlet Witch" needed.

Kathryn Hahn is truly delightful in this series, she gave such a good performance throughout. I also want to give props to Kat Dennings, Evan Peters, Teyonah Parris and Randall Park - they all brought their own flair and fun to their respective roles.

Overall, this was a really good series let down by a mediocre final episode. It's truly well worth the watch.
