School Of Rock (2003) Dir: Richard Linklater

Jack Black teaching a bunch of do-good school kids the glory of rock and roll, what's not to love? This film is an absolute bundle of fun with a cracking soundtrack and a tonne of hilariously entertaining moments.

As illuded to, Jack Black stars as only he can - that is to say, he is off the rails insane in the best way. His real life passion for rock music colliding with his ever entertaining acting to form his amazingly funny character.

We also see fun performances from the likes of a young Miranda Cosgrove, the late Kevin Clark, the underrated Mike White, Rivkah Reyes, Joey Gaydos Jr, the always funny Sarah Silverman and Robert Tsai. And I can't forget about one of the film's MVP's in Joan Cusack, who is so entertaining.

Overall, I don't see how anyone can not love this one. Director Richard Linklater did such a masterful job of creating a fun and rocking romp of a film, which is virtually universally loved by everyone. A family film with a taste of metal - rock on!
