Finding Nemo (2003) Dir: Andrew Stanton

Instagram post:

I rewatched this for the first time in what feels like years, and I was very quickly reminded why it is one of my favourite Disney films ever.

The story is wonderful and well crafted - it has a lot of heartwarming moments and twists that pool together to create a truly special film.

The film also has a superb cast, including the likes of Albert Brooks, Willem Dafoe, Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Garrett and more.

Alexander Gould voices Nemo, and does a lovely job of giving the character an endearing innocence and good-heartedness.

Albert Brooks gives a fantastic vocal performance for Marlin, his range of emotions were very plain to see and very well communicated.

Ellen DeGeneres manages to give Dory the upbeat, forever wholesome and likeable personality she has become so beloved for.

Willem Dafoe lends his highly recognisable voice to a supporting role, and, as usual, aces it. His character is one of my favourites for sure.

Andrew Stanton provides the vocals for one of the coolest characters in Disney, that being Crush. His energy is perfect for the role.

Barry Humphries is hilarious as Bruce, who is a brilliant character, and manages to deliver his comedic moments superbly.

Other supporting performances worthy of note include Allison Janney, Geoffrey Rush, Vicki Lewis and the aforementioned Brad Garrett.

Overall, this is one of those films it is virtually impossible not to love. It has so many heartwarming scenes and well delivered deep moments. It is easy to see why it is one of Disney's most iconic and popular films.
