Castlevania: Season 2 (2018) Dir: [Various]

I pretty much started season two of this series immediately after finishing the first one. The series is remarkably easy to watch.

The animation style continues to be very visually appealing to me - it is definitely one of this show's biggest strengths.

Season two picks up, as you'd expect, from where season one ends, and furthers the main arc well. We also see far more of the side characters here, each given much more screentime this time around.

Richard Armitage returns as Trevor Belmont, once again giving a good voice performance this season.

Alejandro Reynoso and James Callis provide a fun variety in their supporting roles, together with Armitage, their characters bounce off one another well.

Graham McTavish also lends his voice to the role of Dracula, and embodies the vampire's feel well.

We also have Adetokumboh M'Cormack and Jaime Murray, who grow into their roles as their character's do throughout the series.

Given twice as many episodes as the prior season, this one was allowed much more time to breathe. The story could take a little longer to develop, which is not a bad thing.

Overall, I like that this season has a bit of a different feel to it, and it even leaves some enticing hints at what is to come in the third season, which rest assured I will be watching.
